August 7, 2019 – Craig Lenz, DO, FAODME, ACOM Dean Emeritus, recently attended the International Association of Medical Science Educators, (IAMSE) meeting in Roanoke, VA, where he presented at the plenary session on the unique third-year Core Hospice rotation at the Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine. While there he took the opportunity, as he’s done while traveling nationally for the past two years, to invite ACOM alumni for dinner. Dr. Lenz took this opportunity to express his gratitude for their choosing ACOM and to celebrate their achievements.
Pictured with Dr. Lenz is Anne Washofsky, DO, who is starting her third year of Pediatric residency at Carilion Virginia Tech Medical Center in Roanoke Virginia.
Dr. Lenz was also joined by Sarah Lucente, DO, who is a first-year resident in General Surgery also at Carilion and Grant DeFrancisco, DO, who is finishing his first year of Family Practice at LewisGale Hospital Montgomery in Blacksburg, VA.
Dr. DeFrancisco has recently joined five other ACOM alumni as a second-year resident in Psychiatry at the University of South Alabama in Mobile.
