ACOM Early Decision Program
The Alabama College of Osteopathic Medicine (ACOM) Early Decision Program offers a pathway for applicants who designate ACOM as their top choice among osteopathic and allopathic medical schools. By applying for early decision, candidates can streamline the application process and avoid the financial burden associated with applying to multiple medical schools. As an added incentive, ACOM is offering a discounted deposit of $500, compared to the standard $2000, for those accepted through the Early Decision Program.

- Submit a letter of intent affirming the commitment to refrain from applying to other medical schools until ACOM announces early decisions on or before October 1 of the application year.
- A minimum GPA of 3.40, both cumulative (overall) and in science courses. Upon request, a GPA of 3.40 or higher in a biomedical science (or equivalent) master’s program may be considered separately.
- Achieve a minimum Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) score of 504. Composite scores will be taken into account.
