Biography

Caleb Hamilton, PhD, serves as Assistant Professor of Biomedical Sciences. Dr. Hamilton obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in biochemistry from Asbury University. He earned his PhD in basic medical sciences from the University of South Alabama. Dr. Hamilton’s ongoing research endeavors include the role of dexamethasone in pulmonary vasculature endothelial wound repair and pulmonary arterial hypertension. His current research includes comorbidity prevalence associated with COVID-19 prevalence and mortality in Alabama and socioeconomic factors affecting COVID-19 prevalence and mortality in Alabama. Dr. Hamilton is program coordinator for the Wiregrass District Science Fair.
