Biography

Ronda F. Carter, MD, serves as Assistant Professor of Family Medicine. Dr. Carter received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Duke University and earned her MD from the University of Alabama School of Medicine. She is board certified in Family Medicine. Prior to joining ACOM, Dr. Carter served as a staff physician at Lyster Army Health Clinic and the Wiregrass VA Clinic. Her research interests include medical education, specifically ways to integrate clinical and basic science in curriculum delivery to improve students’ understanding and retention of material.
