Biography

Christina M. Kennedy, PhD, serves as Associate Professor of Physiology and Director of Community Partnerships. Dr. Kennedy obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical sciences and PhD in basic medical sciences from the University of South Alabama. Her current research examines how chronic inflammation changes the cell morphology of the myofacia, with further investigation into how Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy can reverse the cellular response to chronic inflammation. Dr. Kennedy’s research on the cellular response of the myofascial tissue to chronic inflammation is grant funded by the American Osteopathic Association.
